Program Description:

This course are designed as;

  • To provide Halal technical, scientific and Sharia knowledge through theoretical classroom lectures and practical experiences at industry based abattoirs.

  • To provide competency and confidence when slaughtering animal for Halal meat.

  • Trainees will gain an understanding of the definition and basic concepts of Halal certification, primary processing and Halal slaughter of animals.

  • Gain knowledge on the roles & responsibilities of being a Muslim slaughterer.

Module Outline:
  1. Slaughtering according to Sharia law.

  2. Technical component and skills for Halal Slaughtering.

  3. Malaysian Halal Certification requirement for Halal Slaughtering.

  4. Visit & Practical slaughtering process. (Halal Food Solution Sdn Bhd-certified abattoir)

  5. Each participant will experience to slaughter the chicken according to Sharia law by using appropriate tool at certified abattoir.

  6. Demonstration on goat slaughtering by the certified slaughter man.

What is the core competency do I get by earning this certificate?

Participant will be provided with Halal technical, scientific and Sharia knowledge through theoretical classroom lectures and practical experiences at industry based abattoirs. Participant will also be provided with competency and confidence when slaughtering animal for Halal meat.
